In today’s world, where we handle almost all of our tasks with our phones, we can switch from one call to another. However, multiple people can call us at the same time. In such a situation, we need to see who is calling and put the person we are talking to on hold. How can we see incoming calls while on a phone call? In our guide, we explain how to activate the call waiting feature.
Seeing incoming calls while on a phone call – Call waiting
There are several methods to see incoming calls or activate the call waiting feature. Some of these methods are applicable to Android devices, while others are settings that iPhone users (iOS users) need to make.
First of all, let us clarify that this call waiting or seeing incoming call feature is free for all operators. In this regard, we recommend that you first check with your operator to make sure this feature is available. However, since almost all operators and devices support it, there shouldn’t be a problem.
For Android users:
- Open the Contacts app on your phone.
- Tap on the three dots located in the upper right or left corner (it may also be a settings icon) and select Settings.
- On the opened page, click on the option called Additional Settings.
- You will find a feature named Call Waiting here. Activate it.
For iOS users:
- Tap on the Settings icon on the home screen.
- Within the opened window, tap on the Phone application icon or name located at the bottom.
- You will see a setting called Call Waiting. Activate it.
If you followed the above steps and still didn’t get any results, go to the calling section on your phone and enter *#43# and press the call button. This will activate the call waiting feature if it’s currently disabled. You can then check the settings again.
